Illuminated Dinosaurs Stalk Paris’s Jardin des Plantes in a Spectacular Journey Through Time

The Jardin des Plantes de Paris  is the main botanical garden in France, part of their Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle (National Museum of Natural History) and dates back to the 1600’s. “The entire garden and its contained buildings, archives, libraries, greenhouses, ménagerie (a zoo), works of art, and specimens’ collection are classified as a national historical landmark since 1993”. They are currently hosting a fantastic exhibition entitled Evolution on a Path to Enlightenment showcasing enormous, incredibly bright and colorful creatures that once walked the earth up to 3,700 million years ago.

During the exhibition, the plaza will be inhabited with illustriously hand-painted silk sculptures crafted by the Sichuan-based company China Lights. Velociraptors, T-Rex’s, Stegosaurus’ and other creatures from the Precambrian, Paleozoic, Mesozoic and the Cenozoic era’s will be on display. This amazing outdoor show goes on until January 30, 2022 but a virtual walk thru can be seen in the videos below.
