Even before the Coronavirus started impacting and dictating how we interact with others in public, there were those weird moments when people embarrassed themselves in clunky situations. That sense of feeling uncomfortable is humorously portrayed in the short animated film “Awkward” by San Francisco filmmaker Nata Metlukh. Laughable anxiety in every scene, Metlukh’s unusual style won Best Short Film of the Year award at Promofest in Spain for his work. Each vignette is easily relatable as it is quirky.
